Here is your weekly dose of Human Management with some more food for thought to leverage your growth.

Since we believe the Management Bugs are common and typical, every description is created and adapted from articles, blog posts, and definitions from other sources and authors.

A MngtBug is a problem, cause, or impact in a human manager’s decision, which produces an incorrect or unexpected result. Every other week we share a little bit of our knowledge base on social media and our newsletter. This week’s MngtBug is…

By definition, test automation is the use of automation tools to write and execute test cases. No manual involvement is required while running an automated test suite. (1)

It differs from manual testing where a human being is responsible for single-handedly testing the functionality of the software in the way a user would. (2)

Test automation can automate some repetitive but necessary tasks in a formalized testing process already in place, or perform additional testing that would be difficult to do manually. (3)

Testing verifies that the system meets the different requirements, including functional, performance, reliability, security, usability, so on. This verification guarantees we are building the system right. Besides, testing validates that the system being developed is what the user needs. (4)

When a company uses manual tests, and she wants to test all workflows, all fields, all negative scenarios are time and money consuming, and it isn’t easy to test for multi-lingual sites manually.

On the other hand, if companies invest in test automation, they will acquire some advantages and benefits, like:
- 70% faster than manual testing;
- Broader test coverage of application features;
- Reliable in results;
- Ensure Consistency;
- Saves Time and Cost;
- Improves accuracy;
- Human Intervention is not required during execution;
- Increases Efficiency;
- Better speed in executing tests;
- Reusable test scripts;
- Test Frequently and thoroughly;
- More cycle of execution can be achieved through automation;
- Early time to market. (5)
