This week’s “Lack of People Engagement” is a bug found more often than desired.
Since we’re talking about people’s engagement in organizational contexts, it is by definition: the emotional commitment the employee has to the organization and its goals.
This emotional commitment means that engaged employees care about their work and their company. They don’t work just for a paycheck, or just for the next promotion, but work on behalf of the organization’s goals.

They want to be involved in their work, enthusiastic about the organization they work for and committed to their fellow workers.

People’s engagement has become a top business priority. In this rapid cycle economy, business leaders know that having a high-performing workforce is essential for growth and survival. But while most executives see a clear need to improve people’s engagement, many have yet to develop tangible ways to measure and tackle this goal.
